The grand opening of Neurocenter

Neurocenter is a state-of-the-art rehabilitation center, crafted with the vision of providing comprehensive care to patients with diverse neurological challenges. Here, we offer access to exceptional specialists including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, experts in alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), and speech therapists all under one roof. Additionally, our center provides the opportunity for tailored selection and adjustment of orthopedic equipment to meet the individual needs of each patient.

The opening of Neurocenter marks another milestone in the development of Paley European Institute. Our aim is to create spaces where every patient feels at the center of attention and receives comprehensive support. During the grand opening, which took place on March 9th, we had the pleasure of hosting nearly 100 guests, including over 20 children. We are delighted to be able to support more families on their journey to health and activity.

During the event, we provided numerous attractions for the children and educational sessions for adults. Parents had the opportunity to listen to engaging lectures by Alicja Wojtasiewicz on functional vision assessment, Beata Wnuk on interdisciplinary treatment of children with cerebral palsy, and Katarzyna Savov on casting in pediatric neurology. A special guest of the event was Prof. Bogdan Ciszek, MD, PhD, neurosurgeon and neurotraumatologist specialist, who delivered a lecture on the functioning of the nervous system.

Each presentation was enriched with the opportunity for questions and discussion with distinguished specialists in the fields of neurology and rehabilitation.

One of the highlights of the day was the opening of the parent zone. This dedicated space for caregivers provides a place to rest, work, and prepare meals while waiting for their loved ones during therapy sessions. We understand the importance of supporting patient families, which is why we want them to feel cared for in our institute as well.

We are incredibly proud of the opening of Paley European Institute Neurocenter and are confident that it will become a place where dreams of a better tomorrow become reality. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in this special day and to all who support our mission.

SEMLS (Single-Event Multilevel Surgery) allows for the simultaneous correction of several orthopedic problems in children with neurological disorders, primarily cerebral palsy. The surgery itself, however, is only one stage of treatment. Equally important is a properly planned rehabilitation program following SEMLS surgery, which helps the child regain mobility and learn […]

Home Care After a Child's Orthopedic Surgery – A Practical Guide for Parents
A child’s return home after orthopedic surgery is an important stage of treatment. This is when parents take on a large part of the daily care—helping with mobility, personal care, administering medications, and following specialists’ recommendations. Home care following a child’s orthopedic surgery requires proper preparation, as the first few weeks after the procedure may look completely different from the family’s previous daily routine. […]

What is SEMLS surgery, and who needs it?
What is SEMLS surgery? Children with neurological conditions, such as cerebral palsy (CP), often struggle with muscle tone disorders, contractures, and musculoskeletal deformities, which over time can affect their mobility and independence. In such cases, symptomatic treatment alone may not be sufficient—a comprehensive approach is necessary that takes into account both the functioning […]
