7-12 years old
School-age children

Engagement with peers and physical activity develops a range of skills needed for later life.

Development: Between the ages of 7 and 12, children take a more active role in life activities when they enjoy what they are doing. During this stage of life, your child's activities should focus on play, developing motor skills and building family and friendship relationships. As your child develops, it is important that not only the family, but also the broader community is involved in making his or her dreams come true. Developing new friendships and participating in smaller and larger social, sports and recreational activities contributes to the acquisition of a variety of skills and supports your child's all-around development.
