Dr. David Feldman

Co-founder of the Institute

Professor of orthopedic surgery and pediatrics, former director of the Division of Pediatric Orthopedics at NYU Langone Medical Center / NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases. He directs the Spinal Deformity Center and the Hip Pain Center at the Paley Institute in Florida.

Dr. David Feldman graduated from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1988 and subsequently completed his residency in general surgery at NYU Langone Medical Center. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery in 1993, after which he spent a year as a fellow at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, deepening his knowledge of pediatric orthopedics and pediatric spine surgery.

He joined the Paley Institute in 2015, bringing with him over 25 years of experience in pediatric orthopedics, spinal deformities, and joint preservation. He specializes in the treatment of scoliosis, severe limb and hip deformities, as well as conditions such as arthrogryposis, multiple osteochondral exostoses (MHE), and skeletal dysplasias.
Thanks to the early detection of postural defects and deformities, he has helped many children avoid surgery. His proficiency in advanced treatment methods—both conservative and surgical—enables patients to return to full activity in less time than with traditional techniques.
