Last year was not the easiest one. Each of us has been affected by this difficult time to a greater or lesser degree. While adults struggled with all sorts of difficulties, children and adolescents also experienced them. Social isolation has become one of the more acute issues.

Ostatni rok nie należał do najłatwiejszych. W mniejszym lub większym stopniu utrudnienia dotknęły każdego z nas. Podczas gdy dorośli borykali się z różnego rodzaju problemami, to nie ominęły one również dzieci i młodzieży. Jedną z bardziej dotkliwych kwestii stała się izolacja społeczna.

Profesor Jerry Uelsmann, ceniony amerykański fotograf, na początku roku akademickiego podzielił swoich studentów na dwie grupy. Osoby z pierwszej grupy miały być ocenione na podstawie ilości pracy, jaką wykonali. W ciągu semestru mieli zrobić jak najwięcej zdjęć. Nie liczyła się ich jakość, ale to, ile ich zrobią. Natomiast osoby z drugiej grupy miały być ocenione na podstawie tylko jednego, świetnego zdjęcia. Ich zadanie polegało więc na dostarczeniu wyłącznie jednej, ale idealnej fotografii.

Professor Jerry Uelsmann, a respected American photographer, divided his students into two groups at the beginning of the academic year. People from the first group were to be assessed on the basis of the amount of work they did. During the semester, they were to take as many photos as possible. It wasn't their quality that mattered, but how many they would make. On the other hand, people in the second group were to be judged on the basis of only one great photo. Their task was therefore to provide only one but perfect photograph.
