Occupational burnout: Paley European Institute specialists for Pulse of Medicine

In it, Anna Sokolnicka, a medical manager at the Paley European Institute, points out that "most employees in this sector are characterized by highly developed empathy. Their work involves helping, caring, giving attention, time, energy, in other words, conveying positive emotions in a broad sense - giving. Behind this is the risk of emotional exhaustion, especially when the processes of transmitting and receiving emotions are not properly balanced."

However, nothing compares to the medical profession. As Dr. Jaroslaw Michal Deszczynski points out, "Today, when my orthopedic dad, who has worked 47 years in his field and retired a year ago, asks: "Son, do you think it was worth it to choose the same professional path that I took" I confidently answer: 'yes, it was worth it, thank you!".
