World Arthrogryposis Day
Its course, origin and severity are individually variable. The disease can occupy the upper limbs, lower limbs or a single limb at the same time And although there is no clear etiology, contracture and joint stiffness are most often caused:
- underdevelopment or complete absence of muscles in a particular location
- disorders of motor innervation of muscles
- intrauterine positioning or
- intrauterine viral infection
Other, causes can be direct deformities of the joints, as well as defects in the connective tissue.

Achieving improvement requires a great deal of experience and individualized treatment planning for each patient.
