First Lady at the Paley European Institute

In December this year, the Paley European Institute Clinic welcomed a special guest – the First Lady of the Republic of Poland, Mrs. Marta Nawrocka. The visit took place as part of the Paley & Friends initiative, a project created for our youngest patients who are undergoing difficult treatment and rehabilitation at our center. The initiative aims not only to support children in their fight for health, but also to inspire them to discover the world without limitations.

The First Lady at the Paley European Institute — it all started with a film by Teodor

This is a story that began with a simple but deeply moving video recorded by one of our young patients, 10-year-old Teodor. The boy, who suffers from osteoarthritis, invited the First Lady to visit the Paley European Institute by posting a video on our TikTok account.

In the film, recorded during one of the rehabilitation sessions, Teodor spoke with great enthusiasm about his story, his dreams, and what the help he receives at our center means to him. Many people were moved by his invitation, and Marta Nawrocka herself decided to respond to this unique appeal.

Visit by Ms. Marta Nawrocka – bringing families and patients closer together

Ms. Marta Nawrocka gladly accepted Teodor's invitation and decided to visit our clinic. Together with Teodor, his peer Jadzia, and other young patients, the First Lady took an extraordinary tour of the Paley European Institute, seeing firsthand the daily lives of children struggling with rare and ultra-rare diseases. They spent time together talking about dreams, hopes, empathy, love, and the challenges that families of children with disabilities face every day.

During the meeting, Ms. Marta Nawrocka had the opportunity to hear from the parents of our patients about their daily struggles, but also about the unwavering strength they draw from the love and support they receive at the Paley European Institute. It was a moment when we all felt united in our mission to bring help, support, and hope to those who need it most.

Paley & Friends – an initiative full of emotion and support

The Paley & Friends project is a response to the challenges faced by families of children undergoing long-term treatment. The aim is to create a space where children and their families can feel supported and meet inspiring people who help them in their daily struggle for a better life. As part of this initiative, we have already hosted people such as actress Agata Kulesza, who took part in a meeting with our patients (you can watch a report from this meeting on our YouTube channel).

It is also an opportunity for children to have space to talk about their passions and dreams, and to spend time in an atmosphere of mutual support and understanding. For many of our patients, treatment is not just about surgery and rehabilitation—it is also about everyday challenges, which we help them overcome with a smile on their faces. Sometimes it is a small gesture—a hug, a conversation, a small gift—that creates an atmosphere that makes them feel cared for and hopeful about the future.

The powerful message of the Paley European Institute – there is always a solution

The Paley European Institute has become one of Europe's leading centers specializing in the treatment of children with rare and ultra-rare musculoskeletal disorders. Our mission is not only to introduce innovative treatment methods, but also to create a space where children and their families can feel understood and cared for.

"There is always a solution " – this is not just a slogan, but a true credo that guides our actions. The experience of our team and the wide range of medical services we offer enable us to guide children through treatments that in many cases are not possible at other centers. It is the trust in our specialists, who work every day to improve the quality of life of our patients, that allows us to achieve successes that change the lives of children and their families.

Summary — First Lady at the Paley European Institute

The meeting with the First Lady at the Paley European Institute was an extraordinary event that will remain in our memories for a long time. It was a time full of emotions, inspiration, and warm words, which will certainly motivate us to continue working for our patients. We would like to thank Ms. Marta Nawrocka for her visit and for becoming part of this unique community. We encourage you to view photos from the First Lady's visit, as well as a report from the meeting.

The Paley European Institute is a place where we not only treat patients, but also build strong relationships with them and their families. Every child deserves the chance to live life to the fullest, regardless of the challenges they face.
