18-30 years old
Young adults

Continuing to learn independence and discovering what you want to do in life may require additional support.

Early adulthood, from age 18 to 30, is often a time of discovering yourself and your life goals. During this period, you may be more independent and take more responsibility for daily tasks. It can be a time of uncertainty as you try different things and figure out what is best for you. At the same time, it is an exciting period full of opportunities and chances for growth.

Paley European Institute areas of support

At Paley European Institute Neurocenter, we offer mobility support for 18-30 year olds, taking into account the specific needs of adults with cerebral palsy. During this period of life, physical changes can occur that affect movement, mobility and function. Many adults with cerebral palsy notice these changes in their 20s and 30s, so it is crucial to remain active, able to perform daily activities, participate in the community, and maintain health and fitness.

We provide diagnosis of movement disorders, including 3D motion analysis and monitoring of joint and muscle health. We collaborate as a medical team to select the right interventions at the right time and maintain large motor fitness.

Our approach includes goal-directed therapy and functional therapy, with the selection of appropriate work methods tailored to individual adult needs. We offer exercise programs including strength training, gait training and treadmill training, as well as support in the selection of adapted physical and recreational activities.

We are committed to correct positioning for better comfort, function and social participation, as well as adapting environmental conditions to the needs of adults.
