Mikołaj was born with a foot deformation, and deformed and shortened calf bone. In 2019, the boy underwent the ankle joint reconstruction surgery by SUPERankle and in 2020, he got the Ilizarov apparatus applied for the calf lengthening. Currently, Mikołaj is undergoing rehabilitation.

Together with his mom we believe and make every effort so that Mikołaj can walk and play football like his age-mates and does not need an orthosis to do this.
